Handicap International is an international non-governmental organization. It was founded in 1982 to provide help in refugee camps in Cambodia and Thailand.It is an organization which aims to help disabled and vulnerable people in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster.
PROJECT
Designing a protest against civil bombardments
In order to help Handicap International Luxembourg in creating awareness for civil bombardments in war zones, such as Syria, Accentaigu set up an awareness campaign.
My task, as graphic designer at Accentaigu, was to translate the campaign’s visual identity into a confronting bus wrap design. The flat silhouettes give the bombarded cityscapes a lift from realism, which helps to confront, but not to shock.
Once printed, the busses drove through the city of Luxembourg to spread the message.
